Grant Examples
The following are representative, but not exclusive examples of projects which could be recipients of Duluth Legacy Endowment Fund grants:
- After-school activities
- Intergenerational programs
- Senior activities
- Health and wellness programs
- Community arts projects
- Prevention programs for at-risk youth
- Youth recreation
- Park or trail enhancement
- Wetlands conservation, preservation or restoration
- Community clean-up efforts
The Duluth Legacy Endowment Fund does not approve grants for:
- City administration overhead (such as retiree health care, salaries or benefits)
- Organizations requesting funding for their own grant-making activities
- Individuals
- Endowments
- Medical research
- Debt retirement
- Lobbying groups
- Faith-based organization, for the purpose of faith-based activities
- Benefit tickets
- Political campaigns or organizations
- Telephone solicitations
- Fundraising activities
